Vanilla Almond Bars

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups almond flour

  • 2 scoops vanilla protein

  • 2/3 cup agave/maple syrup

Filling:

  • 1/2 cup (or more) almond butter

Topping:

  • 2 dark chocolate bars

  • 1-2 tbsp. coconut oil {optional: just helps the chocolate melt faster}

  • Pinch of salt

Directions:

  1. Line an 8x8 dish with parchment paper.

  2. In a big bowl, stir together the crust ingredients.

  3. Press the crust dough into the 8x8 pan and top with almond butter.

  4. Melt chocolate {optional: with coconut oil mixed in) and pour over almond butter layer (optional: add a little salt on top}

  5. Freeze for at least an hour, remove the parchment paper from the dish, and cut slices!
